Our energy field is enhanced by the practice of compassion because compassionate energy opens our heart area. In the heart area compassion, kindness, gratitude, and forgiveness, as well as, grief and sadness are closely connected. Developing and practicing awareness of compassion allows us to extend this energy to others, and ourselves, which replaces neurological patterns of negative thought, which include negative criticism and judgment towards others and ourselves. This also replaces complaining, gossiping, and negative cyclic thoughts that can exponentially grow on their own.
In the energy field, negative energy is gray or gray/black. Congestion and contamination are linked to shame, guilt, blame, unresolved issues, disappointment, anger, feeling stuck, lack of fulfillment, and holding onto energy to punish self or others as power which is also known as being the victim. Any and all of the previous conditions can be linked to depression. These often manifest as negative self-talk, criticism of others, or over compensation by becoming over bearing and misuse of power.
The development of compassion helps to dissolve these negative influences in the energy field, which opens the space for health and healing. As this dissolution occurs, our energy field becomes more buoyant and receptive. This process is positively changing neurological habitual patterns, which can shift our physiology, positively changing how we think and feel.
What other aspects can we develop to assist our energy field in releasing negative energy? Gratitude, compassion, and forgiveness are strong allies that work together to positively unburden our energy system and open our hearts which can also help to lift depression.
