What I learned there are so many ways to look at intuition. To see how intuition is used, ignored and adopted throughout history and time. This is kind of a reference book and encourages us to discover and explore and as a launching pad to deepen our understanding.
The overall theme and message: the universe is vast and we are terribly connected and we can open ourselves to these portals, to these connections. Susan has reached out to so many people and disciplines and passing this on to the lay reader is very inviting to deepen any particular interest we might discover. It serves as a launching pad as a deeper understanding.

50+ Kinds of Intuition reads like a veritable glossary of extrasensory skills, techniques and healing abilities. Keep in mind the author's intention, which she lays out in her preface: to "jog your memory about unexplained experiences," "to understand your intuitive abilities, or to help a child or teen, adult or friend," to place the role and use of intuition into a historical context, and "to demystify and destigmatize intuition." The exercises throughout the book encourage self-exploration and understanding. 50+ Kinds of Intuition definitely fills a gap in our written knowledge of these ancient skills innate to the human experience!

Dr. Susan James has written a book that is full of insights, examples and knowledge that is beneficial for anyone with an interest in how intuition works, and how to access it. As a strong intuitive who uses my skills in this area with my clients and other work, this book presented information that I had not known before. She offers great exercises to increase your own intuition and to identify ways that you might not have been aware that you are intuitive. I highly recommend this book!
